NBCC President and CEO Marilyn Luscombe joined UNB Saint John Vice-president Robert MacKinnon at the ribbon cutting ceremony for NBCC’s new Allied Health building on the Tucker Park Campus. The state of the art building and teaching labs will give students an excellent learning experiences as they train to deliver health care in the medical field of their choice. I had the opportunity to witness Dr. Glenn Verheul, a Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick professor and director of continuing professional development and ultrasound at the Saint John Regional Hospital, when he illustrated the procedures that could be applied to the new simulator mannequin.
The building and the expertise will enhance the Health Science Cluster on campus. The Allied Health Building is located next to the Dal Med NB building and it is adjacent to the Saint John Regional Hospital’s Level One Trauma Center.
